Frank O'Brien
Manager/Licensed Funeral Director
Frank O’Brien serves as Manager of Brunelle Funeral Home, continuing the family stewardship which began in1968 with his father, John “Jack” O’Brien. Frank is very involved in the local community. He has been a 30-year member of West Springfield Rotary Club and served as President in 2000. He is on the Board of the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club, a Corporator of Westfield Savings Bank, a Board Member of Arrha Credit Union, and a Board Member of the St. Thomas School. He also served on the West Springfield Finance Committee and the Town Meeting member for over 12 years. He received his BA from St. Anselm’s College and later his Assoc. Degree in Mortuary Science from New England Institute in Boston. He is a Certified Planned Funeral Consultant (CPC) and is a member of the Green Burial Council.

Emma Parent
Licensed Funeral Director
Emma Parent, a Worcester native who moved to the Springfield area as well as joined the funeral industry in 2020, is a licensed funeral director who graduated in 2024 with a degree in mortuary sciences. Emma has been with the funeral home in some capacity since 2021 and started full-time back in October 2023. It has been her sincere honor to serve a community that is committed to supporting and uplifting each other throughout many decades. Emma has a wide range of topics she is passionate about, one being a more sustainable future for the funeral industry. When not assisting families, you can find her out hiking, working on a new craft project or researching new alternative methods of disposition, such as water cremation and natural organic reduction. Emma lives in Springfield with her partner Brady, their beloved cat and their small menagerie of reptiles and many, many plants.

Kristen Russell-May
Funeral Director of Advance Planning
Kristen was born and raised in Charlton, MA and graduated from Marianhill Central Catholic High School. After high school, she attended Mount Ida College, graduating in 1991 and started her career in funeral service. Kristen has worked for over 30 years at several funeral homes in Worcester County. She has dedicated her life to serving families in their time of need and has taken great pride in her work.
After over 30 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer, Kristen decided to shift her focus to serving families before their time of need. As an advanced planning specialist, she enjoys going out to the community and educating people about the benefits of preplanning funerals. She is knowledgeable about the rules and laws that are associated with the preplanning process.
Kristen lives in Charlton with her husband James, two sons Luke & Joshua and German Shepard, Ginger. She loves attending her son’s hockey games, gardening and spending time with her family.
