VINCENT W. OKSCIN
CHICOPEE- Vincent W. Okscin, 91, of Chicopee, passed away at Wingate at West Springfield on Saturday, October 20, 2018. He was born in Chicopee on July 13, 1927, a son of the late Wincenty and Anna (Kisielewicz) Okscin. After graduating from Chicopee High School, Vincent joined the army and proudly served during WWII. He later worked for many years as a track repairman for Conrail of West Springfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a part of the Heritage Pops Band as a saxophone player. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marjorie (Decker) Okscin, his second wife Irene (Switek) Okscin, and his son Donald Okscin. He is survived by his dear friend Glenn Pittsinger Sr. Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 10:15-11:15AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee, MA. The Rite of Committal and Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Abbey Memorial Dr., Chicopee, MA.
