Carol Jean (Mahoney) Morey, 78, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Holyoke Health Care in Holyoke, MA. Carol was born on February 7, 1943, in Holyoke, MA to William and Leona (Smith) Mahoney. She was a lifelong resident of Holyoke.
She was predeceased by her infant son, Donald Scott Wilson, and her brother, William J. Mahoney. Carol was employed as a Camera Operator for New England Archives in Holyoke for over 25 years. She enjoyed many things over the years, from the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Road Race, Camp Jahn in Westfield, Lake Worth Beach in Florida, NASCAR, and the races at Riverside Park. She loved animals, especially her cat, Pumpkin. Carol was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Carol is survived by her loving companion of 35 years, Yvan S. Audet; daughter, Tammy Audet; grandchildren, Noelle Seiffert and Cody King; two nieces, Maureen and Debbie; her nephew, “Butchie”; two great nieces, Briana and Brooke; and by her cousin, Larry Smith. Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Saturday, August 14th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. A service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
