WILLLIAM R. HUGHES 1943 - 2017 EASTHAMPTON- William R. �Bill� Hughes, 74, of Easthampton passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 17, 2017. Bill was born on June 28, 1943 in Springfield, MA a son of the late Russell & Jeanette Hughes. Bill was a graduate of Springfield Trade School and worked as an auto technician. In his early years, Bill was heavily involved in building and racing stock cars at tracks across New England. He enjoyed golf, hockey and was a diehard NY Giants fan. Bill is survived by his sister, Marilyn Hamel of Salem, NH; two brothers, Russell Hughes & his wife Linda of Wilbraham and Raymond Hughes of Palmer. He will be forever missed by his children, Krista Hughes of Easthampton, Wayne Hughes & wife Lori of Ludlow, Brenda Peckham & her husband David of Rocky Hill, CT. Bill was a proud grandfather to: Bryce, Greg, Eric, Ashley, Colleen, Heather, William & Jeremy and great grandfather to: Aydan, Madison, Sydney, Kyla, Sadiey, Jayda, Jaxton, Adalyn & Syrus.
