Tribute

Ludlow – Walter “Wally” Netopski, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Ludlow to the late Paul and Annamae (Lind) Netopski, he attended Ludlow Schools and was a lifelong area resident. Wally absolutely loved his job and was employed as Head Maintenance Tech for 20 years at Interstate Towing Company. He had a larger than life personality and to say he would do anything for you was an understatement. Wally truly was the kindest man with a heart of gold, and you could always count on him to be there with a smile, and to lend a helping hand no matter what the weather may be. He enjoyed his life to the fullest, especially Arizona Iced Tea, playing pool and darts, watching movies, neon lights and tinkering with his cars. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Shannon Dion of Feeding Hills; his four sons, Michael Mackay of Huntington, MA, Paul Netopski of Ashland, MA, Eric Netopski of Springfield and Joseph Netopski of Ludlow; his grandchildren, Valerie, Serenity, Kaelyn, Kamden and Brianna Mae and all of his friends at Interstate Towing Company, including Jeremy “Boss Man” Procon. Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Tuesday September 29th, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee with an 11 AM service in the funeral home. A private burial will follow for the family only to stay within the attendance guidelines of the cemetery. Please wear your face mask at the funeral home and follow social distancing guidelines.
