Tina Chapman

CHICOPEE- Tina L. Chapman, 60, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Holyoke on June 13, 1952 a beloved daughter of Raymond Depot of Chicopee and the late Evelyn (Langlais) Depot Smith. Tina was educated in the Holyoke School System and later graduated from Holyoke Community College where she received her A.A. Degree in early childhood education. She began her career as the director of the Holyoke Chicopee Head Start Program. She then worked as the credit manager for United Liquors/Martignetti for over 22 years. Most recently she began working for the City of Chicopee Public Schools as a special education substitute teacher primarily at the Streiber School. Tina was also predeceased by her husband Roy E. Chapman in 2009 and a brother Edward Depot. She is survived by her 2 sons, Karl Piedra and his wife Amber of Chicopee; Erik Piedra of Chicopee; 2 daughters, Nichole Bullock and her husband Bill of Chicopee; Jennifer Smith and her husband Michael of Chicopee; a brother, Glenn Depot of Chicopee; three sisters, Rhea Morrissette of Chicopee; Luana Depot of Holyoke and Wanita Estabrook of Chicopee. Tina loved being around people and especially children but she was at her happiest when she was in the company of her 25 adored grandchildren. She leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends to remember her love of gardening, humor and her genuine kindness towards others. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 8:15AM from the funeral home and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Lyman St., So. Hadley. If friends desire memorial donations in Tina�s name can be made to a charity of one�s choice.
