THEODORE J. SABOURIN
1913 – 2008
GRANBY – Theodore J. “Ted” Sabourin, 95, a fifty year Granby resident, died on Thursday, November 19 in a local nursing home.  He was born in Chicopee on May 4, 1913, the son of the late Alphonse and Delia (Harnois) Sabourin.  He attended local schools and retired as a truck driver and mechanic after thirty one years of service from the former New England Container Company.  Ted was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and will be remembered as enjoying a good meal and good times with his family and friends.  He was predeceased by his wife Marion (McDonald) Sabourin on October 5, 1995.  He is survived by his son James and his wife Jean of Cape Cod.  He will be sadly missed by one grandson, Justin Sabourin and special nephew David McDonald and his wife Gail of Agawam and many other nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two sons, Teddy, on September 18, 1945, and Donny on February 24, 1946. He was also predeceased by five sisters, Rose Blanchard, Delia Nash, Yvonne Laflamme, Jeannette Sabourin, and Marlene Sabourin.  Funeral services are Saturday, November 22 at 8:30am from the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 256 State St. in Granby.  Burial will follow in Forestdale Cemetery in Holyoke.  Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, November 21 (Today) from 6-8pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Granby Council on Aging, 257 State St., Granby, MA 01033.
