Terry Keith Maurer

Chicopee - Terry K. Maurer, 68, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born on September 25, 1955 in Spokane, Washington to Marion (Pasker) Maurer and Charles Maurer. He lived in Frackville, PA for a short time before moving to Westover Air-Force Base in Chicopee, MA. He graduated from Chicopee High and went on to work at various places including Providence and Mercy Hospitals before going back to school to learn electrical work. He later practiced as a licensed electrician for Metras Electric in Ludlow, MA. Terry shared his love of camping, listening to Neil Diamond, and playing cribbage with all three of his children. He loved card games, scratch tickets, Scrabble, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren: Clara, Andrew, Faith, Zayden, Sophie, Isla, and Natalie. Terry will be fondly remembered for his knack of giving out of the ordinary gifts, collecting coins, and supporting his grandchildren in all of their many activities. Along with his grandchildren, he leaves behind his children: Katrina Lambert and her husband Doug of Belchertown, Jacob Maurer and his wife Rebecca of Ludlow, and Benjamin Maurer of Chicopee as well as his cherished sister, Carol Poirier, of Westfield and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA. Burial will be private for the family at a later date.
