Chicopee – Steven R. LaBrecque, 55, a lifelong Chicopee resident, passed away at home on Sunday, February 21. He was born in Holyoke on May 5, 1954, the son of the late Rheal and Noella (Beaulieu) LaBrecque. He was a graduate of Chicopee High School and was previously employed as a set up man at Hazen Paper. Steven loved fishing, playing softball, gardening, the outdoors, and was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer LaBrecque and her fiancé Scott Machado of Palmer, three sisters, Karen DelMastre and her husband Edward of Arizona, Cindy LaBrecque and Amy Beauregard, both of Chicopee, his granddaughter, Morgan Machado, and several nieces and nephews. A period of visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday, March 3 at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, followed by a Service of Remembrance at 6pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
