Stanley Owsiak

CHICOPEE � Stanley Owsiak died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Holyoke, MA and was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Kozacka) Owsiak. As a youngster he moved to Brattleboro, VT. Stanley served in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1946. He moved back to Chicopee and began work at Boxmakers Corporation where he was a cutter and creaser. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Claire (St. Jean); two children, Linda his caregiver and Donald (Sharon); three grandchildren, Donald, Jr. (Tiffany), Christopher, and Kimberly Beland (Daniel); four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Drs. Ang and Talole and the medical staff at Baystate for the exceptional care given to Stanley. Funeral services will be held at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Rose de Lima Church, Aldenville, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Precious Blood Cemetery, South Hadley. The family will receive relatives and friends at a gathering to be held at the Brunelle Funeral Home on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one�s choice.
