Chicopee- Shirley J. Pelland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 21, 2020 at the Holyoke HealthCare Center. She was born on May 6, 1935 to the late George and Isabelle (Farley) Cramer. Shirley was educated in the Chicopee schools and was a graduate of Chicopee High School. She married the love of her life Edward R. Pelland in 1954 and together enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Shirley enjoyed teaching computer skills to all ages especially for the Chicopee public and parochial schools. Shirley was most proud of being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to all 50 States and multiple Provinces in Canada, playing her piano, sewing, painting, snowshoeing, family hikes, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by her beloved husband Edward Pelland, of Chicopee, her children; Cheryl Pelland-Lak and her husband Robert of South Hadley, Edward Pelland and his wife Jacqueline of Farmington, CT, John Pelland and Della Marie D’Antonio of Chicopee, Kimberly Galindo and her husband Kenneth of Ludlow, her grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson and her husband Ben, Rebeccah Punda and her husband Cedric, Hillary Lak and fiancé Edward Zigo, Robert Lak, Edward Pelland and his wife Kaitlin, Michael Pelland and his wife Alanna, Tanya Fournier and her husband Tyler, John Malinoski, Nathan Pelland, Kyle Galindo and his wife Ines, Cameron Galindo, Colin Galindo, great grandchildren; Gunnar, Josephine, Boston, Braydn, Bryce, Bryleigh, and Lydia. She will also be missed by her sister, Elaine Delisle, her brother Donald Cramer and Julie, and dear friends Ralph and Ellen Rechenberger, as well as her beloved fur grandbabies. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. The funeral will begin on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 9:30AM at Brunelle’s followed by a mass at 11AM at the St. Rose de Lima Church 600 Grattan St., Chicopee. The rite of Committal and Burial will conclude in the Notre Dame Cemetery, South Hadley.
