LEEDS- Selma M. (Lutz) Salois, 79, of Easthampton and formerly of Chicopee, entered into eternal rest on Sunday August 2, 2009 in Linda Manor in Leeds. She was born in Affalterbach, Germany on August 19, 1929, a daughter of the late William and Clara (Miller) Lutz. Selma attended schools in Germany and came to the United States in 1955. She was employed for 30 years as a press operator for Lesnow Manufacturing in Easthampton, and was also employed by the Chicopee Visiting Nurses as a CNA. Selma was a former member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard G. Salois. Selma is survived by her children, Hebert J. Lutz and his wife Marlene of Richmond, KY, and Linda M. Tripp and her husband Earl of Easthampton; five grandchildren, Melissa, Nicole, Nadine, David, and Mark; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dieter Lutz of Springfield; two sisters, Wilma Gertz of Cole Camp, MO, and Ursela Pickens of Sun City, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday, August 6th at 10 a.m. in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St., both in Chicopee.
