Sandra R. Gawron

E.LONGMEADOW- Sandra (Montgomery) Gawron, 65, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. She was born September 12, 1946, in Alexander City, Alabama the daughter of the late Elzie Burton Montgomery and Rena (Brooks) Montgomery. Sandra grew up and was educated in Alabama. She was a correction officer at the Connecticut Department of Correction for more than 18 years. Sandra's passion was her family, as evidenced by the great love she had for her children, grandson and other family members. Sandra lived for her family and enjoyed spoiling her grandson. She loved the quality time they spent together. Sandra was also predeceased by three sisters, Etta Sue Smith, Mary Will Hanson, Arrie Lee Barley and a brother James Huey Montgomery. She will be deeply missed by her two sons; Brian and Karl Gawron of Chicopee; two brothers, Bobby Joe Montgomery and Milford G. Montgomery, a sister Patricia McCain, her special niece Diana Hanson and her adored grandson Burton Gawron of Chicopee. Sandra also leaves her extended family and many friends. Visiting hours for Sandra will be Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 4-7 PM with a 6:30 PM funeral home service at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
