Ruth Gladu

SOUTH HADLEY- Ruth Mary (L’Esperance) Gladu, 98 , entered into eternal peace and rest on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. She was born on July 30, 1917 and worked for many years in the Chicopee School Department, primarily at Chicopee Comp as the principal secretary retiring in 1979. She was predeceased by her husband George C. Gladu and by her beloved daughter, Joyce Graham. Ruth is survived by her son, Kenneth G. Gladu and his wife Marcia of Feeding Hills; her son in law, Robert Graham of Chelmsford; six adored grandchildren; eleven special great grandchildren and her cherished great great granddaughter. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will keep fond memories of Ruth alive in their hearts and minds. Ruth was also predeceased by a brother and sister, Carl L’Esperance and Claire Gladu. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10-11:15AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013 and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12Noon in St. Patrick’s Church, 30 Main St., South Hadley.
