Ronald A. Berthiaume, 82, of Hudson, Florida and former longtime resident of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on July 28, 2025. Ronald was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on September 5, 1942, a beloved son of Arthur A. Berthiaume and Yvonne R. Bergeron. He and his family moved to Fairview in 1970, and they later moved to Hudson, FL in 2003 where he lived the remainder of his life.
He was the owner and operator of R.A.B. construction in Chicopee, Mass for over 30 years and was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Fairview for over 32 years until moving to Hudson, FL. He built his own plane after getting his pilot license and loved to fly. Above anything he loved spending time with his family and his friends. He enjoyed teaching anyone that was willing to learn what he knew. He was predeceased by his longtime partner and wife of 57 years, Natalie J. (Pelletier) Berthiaume, by his loving daughter, Cheri Burrow and by his sister, Claire Berthiaume.
He leaves behind his daughters, Ronnie Claire Wolf and her husband Mark, and Monique Berthiaume of Hudson, FL; his son, Shawn Berthiaume of Western Mass; cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his only living sibling, Eileen Y. Jones and many dear relatives and friends. Ronald’s funeral service will be held on Friday October 3,2025 at 11am at his final resting place at St. Rose De Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ronald’s memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445.
