KISSIMMEE, FL-Roland L. Bernashe, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015. He was born in Chicopee on October 30, 1923, a son of the late Alfred and Mary Bernashe. He moved to Kissimmee in 1990 from Chicopee. He was a machinist in the paper industry and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving his country faithfully during WWII. Roland was predeceased by his first wife of 28 years, Jeanne Bienvenue Bernashe, and his brother Roger Bernashe. He is survived by his second wife of 36 years, Catherine Mysona Bernashe of Kissimmee, FL; two sons, Dennis Bernashe and his wife Deborah of Belchertown, and David Bernashe and his wife Lenore of Granby, MA; four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Rebecca, Kaitlin, and Nora Bernashe; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Ethan Bernashe; a sister, Dorothy Moreau and her husband George of Chicopee. Visiting hours will be Monday, July 6, 2015 from 9-11AM in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, MA, followed by a funeral home service at 11AM. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Roland’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project at
