Roger C. Michon 1922 � 2009 Chicopee � Roger C. Michon, 87, a forty year Chicopee resident, died on Tuesday, October 13 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke. He was born in Holyoke on March 21, 1922, a son of the late Cleophas and Orianna (Gauthier) Michon. He attended local schools and proudly served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was previously employed at the former Worthington Compressor Co. in Holyoke and was a member and Master at Arms at the former American Legion Post 25 in Holyoke. He is survived by his wife of forty four years, Lorraine (Roy) Roch � Michon, three sons, Roger Michon and his wife Holly, Ronald and his wife Sandy, and�Steven Michon,�two stepsons, Dennis Roch, and David Roch and his wife Reine, three daughters, Charlene Allan and her husband Nick, Debra Shapiro, and�Linda Smith,�one stepdaughter, Shirley Lussier and her husband Alan. He also leaves two brothers, Leo and his wife Estelle, and Normand and his wife Jean, seventeen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nineteen brothers and sisters. Funeral services are on Friday, October 16 from the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. A period of visitation will be held from 8:30 � 10am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Anne�s Church, 30 College St. in Chicopee. Committal services will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St. in Agawam.
