Chicopee - Robert Peterson passed away on Saturday, May 30th 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Holyoke on April 21st, 1949 and raised in Chicopee. He proudly served in the Navy, after which he met the love of his life Elaine (Romanski), which he married in 1975. He leaves behind his three children, Teresa, Robert (Amy) and John (Jennifer), and four grandchildren Zachary, Adam, Alyssa and Alex. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Linda Peterson. Robert loved to spend time fishing, bowling, and playing Keno. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 4th at Brunelle Funeral Home from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Immediately following will be a mass at St. Anthony of Padua at 11 am. Burial will be private.

The family requests that donations in Robert's memory be made to Shriner's Children Hospital.
