Robert J. Connell Sr.

Robert Joseph Connell, Sr., beloved husband of 49 years of Mary E. (White) Connell, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at home at the age of seventy.
Robert was born on March 24, 1952, in Springfield, MA, a son of James Maurice and Ruth Ganley Connell.
He was raised and educated in Springfield, MA and graduated from a Springfield High School.
Robert served his country honorably in U.S. Army as a Specialist 4, during the Vietnam War.
He was a truck driver for several years for the town of Agawam.
He is leaves behind his loving wife, Mary, daughter, Lindsey (Connell) and her husband John, five grandchildren, two god children, and five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Robin Connell and his son Robert J. Connell, Jr..
Family and friends are invited to meet on Tuesday October 11th at 3 p.m. for Robert’s committal service with military honors at Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA 01001.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to St Jude Hospital.
