Richard Paul Lengieza

Richard Paul Lengieza, 72, beloved husband of Lorraine A. (Meek) Lengieza and longtime resident of Chicopee, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his home in Chicopee.
Richard was born on December 3, 1951, in Springfield, MA, a son of Alexander and Ethel (LaPine) Lengieza, he was raised and educated in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee High School and Hall of Famer in soccer, baseball and hockey.
Rick served his country honorably as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War.
He later served as a postal worker at the Bulk Mail Center in Springfield for over 25 years, before fully retiring.
He leaves his loving wife, Lorraine of Chicopee and son, Jesse Lengieza. He was predeceased by his stepson, Jason.

Family and friends are invited to meet on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 3 PM, in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA, for Richard’s committal service with military honors.
