Richard F. Bugli

March 8, 1930 — February 6, 2016

South Hadley- Richard F. Bugli, 85, husband of Charlotte (Crevier) Bugli, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Born in Boston, MA he was the son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Ottaviani) Bugli. A longtime resident of Holyoke and Chicopee Richard worked at Hamilton Standard/UTC for many years as a Lab Technician. He was also an inventor holding several patents of which he and his family were very proud. His passions included science, wood carving and spending time at the ocean with family. Richard was an animal lover and was known to lend a hand to anyone in need. He served honorably in the US Air Force during the Korean War. In addition to his beloved wife, Richard is survived by his children, Brenda Gallant of Chicopee, Dan Bugli and his husband Chris of Huntington, David Bugli and his wife Christine of W. Suffield CT, Brian Bugli and his wife Daryl of Agawam, his sister Dolores Trask of CA and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. “Poppa” and “Grampa” will be missed by his six adored grandchildren. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 1PM in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA 01001. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Richard’s name to Soldier On, 421 N. Main St. Bldg 6, Leeds, MA 01053 or to the T.J.
