Chicopee – Rena Jane (Bordeau) LaValley, 75, of Chicopee, passed away at home on Wednesday February 5, 2020. Born in Chicopee, she was one of ten children to the late Joseph M. and Dorothy C. (Francis) Bordeau, she was a lifelong resident. Rena graduated from Chicopee High School. She was employed with Kellogg Brush in Easthampton for many years, then with Birch Manor Nursing Home and Western Mass Eldercare Meals on Wheels. In younger years, Rena enjoyed bowling, gardening and listening to Elvis. She loved her games on the computer, especially Solitaire and free cell and always enjoyed eating her Devil Dogs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen LaValley in 1992 and her siblings, Malcolm, Robert and George. She is survived by her three daughters, Denise Andrewsikas and her husband Michael, Theresa Beaumier and her wife Alana and Kimberly Beaumier and her partner Donna; her six siblings, Beverly, Joyce, Douglas, Gary, Kevin and Keith; six grandchildren, Meghan, Michael, Amanda, Scott, Abigail and Dakota; eight great-grandchildren, Amiah, Jorge, Cohen, Avianna, Gunner, Abriella, Scarlett and Addison and two on the way; a dear friend and sister-in-law, Lynette Gordon and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Family and friends are invited to meet for visitation on Wednesday February 12th from 10-12noon at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, followed by a 12noon service in the funeral home. Burial will be held in St. Rose De Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Rena’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. www.brunellefuneralhome.com
