Chicopee – Raymond A. Therrien, Sr., 85, passed away peacefully on Monday December 28, 2020 at Renaissance Manor in Holyoke. Born in Lewiston, Maine to the late Albert J. and Clara (Lemay) Therrien, he attended schools in Maine and was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran.
Raymond was employed in the Maintenance Department at Baystate Medical Center for many years. Raymond was predeceased by his first wife, Yvette Pronovost in 1969 and by his second wife, Isabelle B. Durocher in 2004. Raymond was also predeceased by his son, Randy Therrien in 1998; brother, Robert Therrien in 1990 and sisters, Laura Hilton and Rose Danis.
He is survived by his children, Donna Kuenzel of Easthampton, Anthony Therrien of Arizona, Marlene Besaw of West Springfield, Arlene Williams of Westfield, Jacqueline Poticny of New Jersey and Raymond A. Therrien, Jr. of Chicopee; siblings, Albert Therrien of Texas, Elaine Haney of Holyoke and Rita Boivin of Westfield; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. All services will be private for the family at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
