CHICOPEE- Raymond Albert Duclos, 85, a lifelong Chicopee resident passed away on Wednesday Jan. 22, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. He was born, raised and educated in Chicopee and was a tire builder for UniRoyal before retiring after 30 years of service. He was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp having served with honor during WWII. Raymond was very active at the Elks Lodge #1849 where he volunteered in the kitchen for many years and was proud to be named an �Elk of the Year�. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and being in the outdoors. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen (Lennon) Duclos in 2007 and by his two sons, Michael Duclos and Steven Duclos. He is survived by his daughter, Raylene Mulford and her husband Ward of Belchertown; a sister, Dot Veroneau of Elkton, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Leftwich of KS; Katelyn Mulford of MT and David Mulford of VA. Raymond also leaves his extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins but most especially his dear nephews, Normand Duclos of Chicopee and Leo Duclos of Holyoke. He will be missed by family and his many dear friends. Visiting hours are Tuesday Jan. 28, 2014 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. His funeral will begin on Wednesday at 10:15AM from the funeral home and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee.
