Ralph S. Seward 1928 � 2011 Monson- Ralph S. Seward, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Redstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in East Longmeadow, after a long illness. Ralph was born October 19, 1928, in Florida, A son of the late Frank and Texas (Johnson) Plumley. Ralph was a graduate of Rutland High school in Rutland, Vermont. He later joined the U.S. Air Force, where he spent much time in Germany during his tour. Ralph served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He was a self employed over the road truck driver from 1959 to 1991 and loved what he did. Ralph lived with intention, he demonstrated this in the great love he has for his family and friends. Whether driving his truck, hunting, or fishing, it was always an adventure for Ralph. He was succeeded in death by his loving wife Helen H. (Liljeroth) Seward. Ralph is survived by his two daughters, two stepdaughters, six stepsons, two nephews, two nieces, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, especially his companion, his best friend Diamond. Ralph leaves an impression in the hearts and minds to never be forgotten. Visiting hours for Ralph will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA. A funeral ceremony will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 AM at Brunelle Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA.
