Phyllis Ford

Chicopee – Phyllis Ford, 89, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 6, 2023. She was born on June 23, 1933 in Island Cove, Newfoundland to Thomas and Mary Smith.
She met her husband, William R. Ford in Newfoundland while he was serving in the United States Air force. Together they shared 58 years of marriage before his passing on October 16, 2014.
Phyllis was a longtime employee of the Holyoke Die Cut Card Co. Phyllis loved her family dearly and she enjoyed camping with her family and friends over the years near the Mohawk Trail.
She is survived by her five children, Linda Boudreau, Sharon Corbiere, Gary Thomas Ford, Wayne Ford, all of Chicopee and Ronald Ford of Belchertown; her siblings, Mirriam Lambert, Kathleen Haynes and Albert Smith; by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Alan Corbiere in 2022.
A committal service for Phyllis and William will be held on Wednesday, March 15, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. There are no calling hours. Brunelle Funeral Home in Chicopee, MA is entrusted with the arrangements.
