Phillip Michael Servantez Sr, 83 of Springfield died peacefully at Baystate Medical Center on Friday, Dec 29th surrounded by family. Phil was the loving husband of 51 years to his wife Judith Ann Servantez before she passed in 2013. Phil was born to the late Guadalupe (Mercedes Servantes) D’Agostino in Johnstown, PA and raised by his loving grandmother Maria Mercedes Salas. Since his early childhood, Phil learned to persevere through significant challenges. It is through these obstacles that Phil developed his tenacity and grit. Phil was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in 1961 as an SP4 E4 where he served in the Armory division as a tank driver, completing his basic training at Fort Knox, KY. Along with his loving wife Judy, Phil was an active supporter and proud parent of his children’s athletics, and served as a member of the Putnam High School Boosters club for several years. Phil precedes his five children: son Phillip Servantez Jr. and wife Anita of Stafford, CT; daughter Theresa Taylor of Springfield; daughter Toni Sisco and husband Ron of Monson; son Stanley Servantez and wife Jennifer Caputo of Myrtle Beach, SC, and son Steven Servantez and wife Deborah of Foster City, CA. Phil also leaves behind 15 grandchildren: Desiree, Phillip III, Zachary, Clint, Sentry, Nicole, Christopher, Kevin, Cameron, Alexa, Jensen, Jared, Marina, Elsa, and Abigail. Phil was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Judy and his beloved grandson Eric. Phil was also blessed with the gift of 11 great grandchildren: Aiden, Addilynn, Dominic, Norah, Raelynn, Karsyn, Damian, Brayden, Rosaliyah, Grayson, and Parker. Phil leaves behind brother Carl D’Agostino and wife Nancy of Windber, PA. The family invites you to celebrate Phil’s life. Calling hours will be Thursday Jan 4th between the hours of 5PM – 7:30PM, followed by a service at 7:30PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, MA.
