Springfield – Philip Charles Reuter, 78, passed away at home on Saturday April 5, 2025.
Phil was born in Springfield, MA on May 21, 1946, attended Cathedral High School, and was a lifelong resident of Springfield.
Phil served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a Construction Batcher throughout his career, most recently with Construction Service before his retirement.
Phil was a parishioner of Mary, Mother of Hope Church in Springfield.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Judith M. “Judie” (Lundstrom) Reuter, on February 14, 2025.
He is survived by his two daughters, Dawn Godek and her husband Steve and Darilyn Roberts; his cherished grandchildren, Kevin Roberts and his wife, Taylor Couture, Sarah Godek, Jenna Roberts, Rachel Godek and Jack Dalton, Mary Godek, Claire Godek, Zach Godek; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Knox; and his sister-in-law, Deborah Reuter. He was predeceased by his mother Helen, brothers Douglas and Leslie, and his son-in-law, Jeffrey Roberts.
All are invited to meet for Phil’s committal service with Military Honors on Friday April 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. There are no calling hours.
