Peter E. Leonard

CHICOPEE- Peter E. Leonard, 55, passed away suddenly on February 16, 2015. He was born on January 5, 1960 in Holyoke, MA to the late Thomas and Mary (Sibley) Leonard. Peter joined the U.S. Army after high school and proudly served overseas during the Grenada War. He most recently worked as a truck driver and enjoyed taking cross country trips in his semi-truck. Peter was an outgoing man with a good spirit and loved to laugh. He is survived by his beautiful, loving, Polish wife, Donna Leonard; three daughters, Priscilla, Adreanna, and Daniella Leonard; one step-daughter, Heather Dunn and her husband Hasan Ozdemir ; two grandchildren, Justin Dunn and Madisyn Skala; and three brothers, George and his wife Shelly, Anthony and his wife Shelly, and John Galanis. Peter also leaves his sweet lap dog and companion, Peanut. Calling hours for Peter will be Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4-7PM in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee. A funeral home service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11AM, followed by burial in MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to the Northampton VA Medical Center, 421 North Main St, Northampton, MA 01062.
