CHICOPEE- Pauline R. (Brien) Dore, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Mt. St. Vincent’s in Holyoke. Pauline was born in Chicopee on December 21, 1925 a daughter of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Archambault) Brien and attended Mt. Carmel School and Chicopee High School. Primarily a home maker, she worked for many years at her father’s store, Al’s Market as an assistant manager before starting her family. She was a faithful woman who was active in the community, especially at Nativity Church. She was a secretary of the Ladies Sodality, parish council correspondence secretary for over 20 years, active Bingo volunteer, Eucharistic Minister, chairman of craft fair at Nativity Church and chairman of the fashion show at Mt. Carmel. Pauline was predeceased by her husband Edward T. Dore in 1972; a grandson, Joshua Garrity in 1986 as well as her brother Leon Brien and a sister Cecile Paquette. A proud mother, Pauline is survived by her four children, Charlotte Garrity and her husband Joe of Chicopee; Thomas Dore and his wife Jackie of Chicopee; Joann Chateaneuf and her husband Ray of So. Hadley and Claudia Lamothe and her husband Don of Chicopee. Pauline will be dearly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; Edward Dore, Rob Chateaneuf, Chris Chateaneuf, Bridget Johnson, Dan Lamothe, Audrey Chateaneuf, Adam Dore, Jessica Corbeil, Andrew Lamothe, Jonathan Garrity, Tom Lamothe, Tyler, Kacey, Evan, Bryce, Kara, Olivia, Mallorie and Jameson. She also leaves two sisters, Claire Poirier of Chicopee; Jacqueline Couture of Chicopee and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 9-10:30AM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., and be followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St. Chicopee. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery.
