NUALA MARION DONOVAN
1969 - 2011

CHICOPEE- Nuala M. “Kateri” Donovan, 41, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at her home. She was born in Manhattan, NY on September 30, 1969 a daughter of John Sr. and Margaret (Loftus) Donovan who survive her in Bronx, NY. Nuala was educated in the Bronx schools and attended Holyoke Community College, College of New Rochelle and Munroe College. Nuala was a resident in Throgs Neck, Bronx for many years before coming to Massachusetts in 2002. Primarily a caregiver, she worked in the New York and Amherst, MA school systems as a para- professional with autistic children and special needs students. Most recently she worked at Guidewire, Inc. of Springfield as a personal care attendant where she continued to give of herself for others. All of her life, Nuala was willing to help others and her positive spirit and uplifting ways were a great comfort to many people. She enjoyed meeting new people and once you met her it was easy to understand why she had so many dear friends. Nuala will be missed dearly by her loving parents John Sr. and Margaret Donovan as well as her devoted daughter, Tiffany Hazim and her fiancé Ivan Felix of Springfield. Nuala is also survived by her fiancé, David Riebesehl of Chicopee; her brother, John P. Donovan and his wife Tina of Bronx, NY; her two sisters, Margaret M. Donovan and family of St. Charles, MO; Catherine Donovan of Brewster, NY; a niece, Jennifer Bowen and family of Springfield, MA; a cousin, Cathy Bouthilette and family of Chicopee. She will be missed by her extended family and friends as well as her faithful dog, Sunshine. Nuala‘s spirit will carry on and her watchful eyes will be evermore present as she begins her new journey in the spiritual afterlife. Visiting hours for Nuala will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 4-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. The funeral ceremony will begin on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 8 AM from the funeral home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee, MA 01013. The burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olson St., Chicopee, MA 01020.
