Norman Bergeron

GRANBY- Norman Joseph Bergeron, Sr., a resident here for more than 58 years passed away at Holyoke Medical Center on Monday, October 22, 2012. Norman was born on April 15, 1928 in Livermore, ME where he was educated. He was a machinist for Eastern Specialties Co. and also volunteered for over 20 years at the Big E where he helped with the Diamond RV Centre. Norman was a very active member of the Granby Senior Center where he volunteered for many events. He was also an active communicant at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church where he was serving as an usher/greeter. Norman was predeceased by his beloved wife Lauraine (Constant) Bergeron on December 31, 2004. He is survived by his two sons, Ron Bergeron and his life partner Frankie Smith of Granby; Sonny Bergeron and his wife Marie of Granby; five adored grandchildren, Tiffany Bergeron; Marissa Brueshaber; Michael Bergeron; James Bergeron and Katherine Bergeron. Norman also leaves four great grandchildren, Fredrick, Amber, Lyla and Valery as well as his extended family and many dear friends. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 4-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. His funeral will begin on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 256 State St., Granby, MA 01033.
