CHICOPEE-Normand R. Desilets, 73, passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center with his family by his side on September 3, 2018.  He was born on October 6, 1944 in Holyoke to the late Roland and Anna (Baillargeon) Desilets.  Norm was a graduate of Holyoke Trade School and later worked for Rock Valley Tool in Easthampton, retiring after 30 years. He proudly served on the Holyoke Auxiliary Police Department for many years. Norm enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at “the Club.” He loved spending time with his family, especially time spent with his great grandson Gavin. Norm will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Cynthia (Russell) Desilets. He is survived by his three loving children, Laurie Hebert and her husband John; Lynne Desilets; and Jeffrey Desilets; his grandchildren, Stephanie Desilets and Michael Latour; a great grandson Gavin Desilets. Norm also leaves his sisters, Anita Caron and Ann Kennedy, a sister in-law, a brother-in-law, and several nieces, nephews, dear friends and his grand-dog Stoli.  Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 12PM-2PM followed by a funeral home service at 2pm at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norm’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
