Muriel Wilma Hunter

Muriel W. Hunter 1947-2014 CHICOPEE- Muriel W. (Leahy) Hunter, 67, of South Hadley passed away on December 18, 2014. Muriel was born on March 22, 1947 to William Leahy Sr. and the late May (Nichols) Leahy. She grew up in Willimansett, Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and received her Associate�s degree from Holyoke Community College. Muriel worked as a realtor in the surrounding area. She had also worked for many years at Mount Holyoke College. She is survived by her father, William Leahy, Sr.; her three daughters, Shellie Roule and her husband Jef of Granby, MA, Kelly Hunter of South Hadley, and Diana Hunter of Amherst; six grandchildren, Kelsea, Hailey, Dillan, Emily, Kylie, and Jason; one brother, William Leahy Jr. and his wife Louise; two sisters, Donna Supernuant and her husband Paul and Laura Scribner; as well as several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. Services for Muriel will be held on Friday, December 26 beginning with calling hours from 9-10 a.m. in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St, Chicopee, and burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Hadley Senior Center, 45 Dayton St, South Hadley, MA 01075.
