Max T. Bobala Jr.

Max Thomas Bobala, Jr., 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 17, 2024, at Care One in Northampton.
He was born on August 24, 1946, in Holyoke, MA to Max T. Bobala, Sr. and Claire (Schaurer) Bobala, he was a lifelong resident of Chicopee.
Max served our country honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War.
He held various jobs throughout his career before being employed as a mail sorter for over 20 years at the Bulk Mail Center in Springfield.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sharon E. (Robinson) Bobala who passed in 2011. He was also predeceased by his son, Randy Maleski, two daughters, Lori Maleski and Catherine Bouchard and by his grandson, Thomas Bobala.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Pajak and her husband Scott of Springfield and Gabrielle Hochrein of Chicopee, sister, Helen Hicks of Florida, cherished grandchildren, Eric, Shawn, Ariel, and April Pajak, Alisha Fontanez and her husband Eric, Zachary, Max and Mandy Paroli, and Jessica Choiniere as well as great-grandchildren, Tyler Choiniere and Malcolm Trask-Pajak.
Calling hours for Max will be held on Monday October 28th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee.
A committal service with military honors will be Tuesday October 29th at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. in Agawam. For directions or to leave an online expression of sympathy for the family, please visit www.brunellefuneralhome.com
