Chicopee – Maurice Robert Tetreault, 91, of Chicopee, passed away peacefully Friday December 5, 2025, at Greenfield Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Maurice was born in Newport, VT to George and Rose (Freniere) Tetreault.

Maurice was employed as a truck driver throughout his career at various companies including Yellow Freight. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Leona “Thelma” (Freniere) Tetreault, who passed April 21, 2020, during the Covid 19 pandemic. Together they enjoyed NASCAR and would travel all over the country to watch races.

Maurice will be remembered for his jeans and flannel shirts, riding his motorcycle, listening to country music and enjoying a good beer.

He leaves his brother-in-law, Alfred Freniere and his wife Jan of Rhode Island; his niece, Dorene Garland and her husband, David of Amherst as well as many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours for both Maurice and Thelma on Thursday December 11th, 2025, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St. Chicopee, with a 6:00 PM service in the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
