Martin Drobnak
1930-2018
CHICOPEE- Martin Drobnak, 87, of Chicopee peacefully joined the heavens on June 28, 2018. Martin was born on September 17, 1930 in Lowber, Pennsylvania. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years as Fleet Aircraft Service Squad. He was a member of the American Legion #452, Knights of Columbus and Springdale Turn hall and retired from United Technologies. Martin is pre-deceased by his parents, John and Theresa (Nowak) of Czechoslovakia; his beloved wife of 46 years, Ruth (Dumas); his son David; his grandson Paul and his great-granddaughter Harper and his many brothers and sisters. He leaves an empty space in the hearts of his surviving children, John and his wife Diane of Chicopee, Kenneth Drobnak of Idaho, Steven and his wife Laurie of Springfield and Nancy (Drobnak-Fleury) Alvarado of Springfield, his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Frank of New York and his sister-in-law Irene (Dumas) Tracy of Lake Placid, Florida and several nieces and nephews and cherished friends. His long and loving filled life will be put to rest on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony Street, Chicopee followed by a burial at Saint Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen Street, Chicopee.
