Martin J. Mcandrews Jr

NORTHAMPTON-Red, 79, passed away on August 17, 2014 at VA Medical Center in Northampton. Red was born in Holyoke on June 14, 1935 was a resident of Chicopee most of his life. He served his country in the US Army. Red worked as a fork lift operator and retired from Linweave Inc in Holyoke. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and we will remain “Boston Strong.” Red is predeceased by his sisters, Eileen Lambert of South Hadley and Ann Rivet of Chicopee. Red leaves his lifelong companion and wife Olive “SIS” R. McAndrews; one son Martin “SKIP” McAndrews III and his wife Paula; one daughter Amy McAndrews; his three beloved grandchildren, Leah Rose McAndrews, Shannon Margaret McAndrews, and Martin “MARTY” John McAndrews IV; and several nieces and nephews. Red will be missed every day and may God comfort your journey. A graveside service will be held for Red on Friday, August 22 at 11AM in the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St, Agawam.
