Marlene (LaFrance) Rame, 82, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Larocque) LaFrance. Marlene lived in Holyoke for most of her life and she worked for many years in the Cafeteria at Peck School. Marlene was devoted to her Catholic faith. She enjoyed baking and was most passionate about caring for others, especially her husband Donald. She also loved having all of her “kids” over for coffee, and they remember her for her loving personality and contagious laughter. She will be remembered by the light of her life, her grandson, Gaige Rame and his mother Tania Gadbois; her grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Luke, and great-grandchildren, Anthony and Colin, and a godchild Keisha Cornelio. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald, and her son, Joseph (Joey) Rame in May 2020. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 5 - 7 pm at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA. Funeral Services are Friday, April 16th starting at 9:30 am from the Brunelle Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 56 St. Anthony St., Chicopee. Burial will be in the St. Rose de Lima Cemetery on Olsen St. In Chicopee. Memorial Donations may be made in Marlene’s name to Providence Ministries, 40 Brightside Drive, Holyoke, MA 01040.
