Margery R. Arnold

Margery Ruth Arnold 1933-2014 CHICOPEE-Margery Ruth (Madden) Robillard Arnold, 81, of Willimansett section of Chicopee, MA has passed onto eternal life on October 3, 2014 while in the loving care of Sweet Brook Skilled Nursing Center of Williamstown, MA. Margery was born on September 15, 1933, a daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Madden. She spent her childhood in Winsted, CT, graduating from Gilbert High School in 1951, before moving to Chicopee, where she spent most of her life. Margery was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving two years at Westover AFB. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edward A. Robillard in 1976; her second husband Warren M. Arnold in 1990; a daughter Pamela (Robillard) Burgess in 1977; and her brother Raymond Madden in 2001. Margery leaves behind her five loving children, Timothy Robillard of Chicopee, Susan Cacciolfi of Anchorage, AK, Margery Valois of East Longmeadow, MA, Guy Robillard of Chicopee, and Amy Robillard of Bloomington, IL; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves her sister Judy Crump of Canaan, CT; many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family, including Ruby, her amazing cat. Margery will always be remembered for her strong love of animals, especially cats. She also had a strong talent for ceramics and enjoyed her time at the Chicopee Senior Center, where she always felt welcome. The family would like to offer sincere gratitude to the staff of Sweet Brook and the doctors and staff at Baystate Medical Center. Services for Margery will be Tuesday, October 7 with calling hours from 5-7PM in the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, followed by a funeral home service at 7PM.
