CHICOPEE- Madeleine Doherty, 82, passed away on Monday March 25, 2013 at Willimansett Center West. She was born in Walpole, MA on December 17, 1930 a daughter of the late Eugene and Eleanore (Dansereau) Rame. She was educated in Chicopee Elementary Schools, graduated from Rosary High School in Holyoke and was primarily a homemaker. Madeleine enjoyed traveling with her late husband James Joseph Doherty who served in the military and resided in Japan, California and Kansas before finally settling in Willimansett for the remainder of her life. She also enjoyed dancing, music and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Madeleine is survived by her son, James Joseph Doherty, Jr. of South Hadley; her four daughters, Kathleen Poirier of Port Charlotte, FL; Michele Albano of New York; Ann Marie Andras of Granby; Sandra Herd of Chicopee;10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Roger, Roland and Donald Rame. Visiting hours will be held on April, 1, 2013 from 4-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. Madeleine�s funeral will begin on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 8:15AM from the funeral home and followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee. The Rite of Committal and Burial will be in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olson St., Chicopee.
