FLORRIE BETIE 1907-2012 CHICOPEE-Florrie (Provost) Betie, 105, passed away peacefully Thursday June 15th, surrounded by her loving caregivers at the Willimansett Center West Nursing Home. She was born to the late Fred and Annie (Passien) Provost both of Canada. Florrie lived in Huntington, MA where she grew up and was educated; before moving to Holyoke and became a lifelong resident and communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was married on February 13, 1933 to her devoted husband of 51 years, the late Theodore Betie of Holyoke. Florrie was predeceased by her adored daughter Irene (Betie) Crochetiere, three brothers Chester, Armand and Henry Provost and sister Yette Dosorey. She is survived by her son Raymond Betie and son-in-law Raymond Crochetiere both of Chicopee; five grandchildren, several great grandchildren, many nieces and nephew. Florrie will be missed by many good friends at the nursing facility. Visiting hours for Florrie will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 5-7 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013. Her funeral will begin on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 8:30 AM from the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial held at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 54 North Summer St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
