Loraine C. (Roy) Breault, 98, beloved wife of Leonard O. Breault who predeceased her in 1994, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in the comfort of her own home in Chicopee with her family at her side.
Loraine was born on April 24, 1925, in Holyoke, MA, a daughter of Joseph and Emma (Dauphinais) Roy, she was raised and educated in Chicopee.
She was a parishioner of the former St. Mary’s Church in Chicopee and past attendant of the Tuesday Novenas at St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Loraine will be remembered for hosting many Sunday and holiday dinners with her family. She loved being a wife and mother and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a woman of strong faith and loved St. Anthony and Padre Pio. She enjoyed craft hobbies, gardening, tag sales and berry picking with her best friend/buddy, Elaine, shopping at the Christmas Tree Shops, floating in the family pool and listening to Johnny Mathis and Englebert Humperdinck.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Sandra Mailhott of Chicopee, Lois Breault of Springfield, and Laurie Breault of Enfield; sister, Eunice Black of Florida, 5 cherished grandchildren, Christine Casey and her husband Tim, and their children, Alexa and Noah, Ericka Martinez and her husband Angel and their children Damon and Kayla Chagnon and her daughter Lani, Jennifer Niemiec and her son, Casey, Kelly Gumpert and her husband, Jason and their children, Benjamin and Maxwell, Staci Kelley and her children, Kirstyn, Natalie, Corbyn and Nathan, as well as her best friend/buddy, Elaine Keane and her husband Tom and their daughter, Tina all of Chicopee.
Beside her husband, she was predeceased by one of her twin daughters, Lynn Breault in 2004 and by her infant daughter, Loraine Breault; her brother, Joseph Roy, and sisters, Jane Tomlinson, Phyllis Skoczylas and Carol Roy.
Calling hours for Loraine will be held on Monday August 28, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. All are invited to meet directly at the church for Loraine’s funeral Mass on Tuesday August 29th at 12:15 p.m. at St. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, followed by committal services in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St., Chicopee.
