SPRINGFIELD – Lisa L. (Asselin) Lizotte, 42, passed away Thursday morning at Baystate Medical Center, after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. She was born on April 19, 1966 in Springfield, MA to Richard and Carole Asselin. Lisa was a beloved wife, devoted mother and stepmother, cherished daughter, dear sister, and faithful friend. She enjoyed the simple things in life, like spending time with her family, fresh air, flowers, fishing, going to the beach, and playing with her dog. Lisa is survived by her husband, John Lizotte, her son Andrew Beaulieu, and her step-daughter Samantha Amberman. She leaves her sisters, Angelique D’Antonio, Susan Rose, and Renee Peets, and their families; her mother-in-law Gisele Lizotte, sisters-in-law Carole Tardif and Sandra Nadeau, her nieces, nephews and many other extended family members. She will be sadly missed by her best friends, Audrey Rivers, and Andrew’s father, Ronald Beaulieu Jr., as well as her many friends at the East Springfield Dialysis Center. Calling hours will be held Sunday, January 25 from 2-6 PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee Street, Chicopee. A funeral procession will form on Monday, January 26 at 8:45 AM at the funeral home, which will be followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Nativity Church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Andrew Beaulieu Scholarship Account, c/o TD Banknorth, 561 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA, 01108, for future educational needs.
