CHICOPEE- Leonor (Clemente) Albuquerque, 70, of Chicopee, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Esmolfe, Portugal on June 13, 1948, a daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Machado) Clemente. After moving to America Leonor became a talented seamstress and worked for General Cleaners for many years. She was an avid gardener and had a beautiful garden full of vegetables and flowers at her home. She was also a great cook who always had enough to share with her friends and family. Leonor collected many knick knacks and kept a beautiful home. She was predeceased by her siblings; Frederico and Pedro Clemente, as well as a brother-in-law; Jose Alves. She will be dearly missed by her sons; Carlos Albuquerque of Chicopee; John Albuquerque and his wife Melanie of Chicopee; her granddaughter, Brianna Albuquerque; her siblings, Carma Gonzalves and her husband Joaquim of Holyoke; Emelia Alves of Ludlow; her former spouse, Albano Albuquerque of Portugal. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 4-7PM at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St, Chicopee, MA. Her funeral will begin at 8:15AM on Wednesday, July 18 from Brunelle’s and conclude with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 54 N. Summer St, Holyoke, MA.
