Springfield – Lawrence A. “Larry” LaBaff, 76, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 24, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Larry was born in Springfield, MA on May 5th, 1949, the son of Alfred and Shirley (Beaman) LaBaff.
He graduated from Technical High School in Springfield and was a proud Army veteran who served his country honorably during the Vietnam War as a Specialist 4.
He was a talented musician who attended the Army School of Music and played in the Army Band.
Throughout his career, he was employed as a Machinist for various companies in Western Mass.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and golfing.
He is survived by his daughter, Aimee Kurtzhalts, sister, Verdi-Ann Vadnais and her husband, Jacques, two grandchildren, Marcelino and Constance Kurtzhalts and a nephew Jean-Paul Vadnais.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday February 3, 2026, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA followed by a committal service with military honors at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
