Karen Hazel Beaudry

Karen Hazel (Buchanan) Beaudry, beloved wife of 30 years of James W. Beaudry, Sr., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024, at her home in Chicopee at the age of 81.
Karen was born on August 31, 1942, in New Port, RI, a daughter of Joseph and Esther (Greenman) Buchanan.
She was raised and educated in New Port, before residing in Chicopee for the past 70 years.
Karen had a long career as a Licensed Hairdresser working at various shops throughout the local area.
She was a sun worshipper who enjoyed lounging by the family pool and had many fond memories of the family camping trips to Old Orchard Beach in Maine and annual trips to Hershey, PA for the antique car shows.
Karen was a loving wife, mother and a doting grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She leaves her husband, James of Chicopee and children, Todd Houston of Chicopee and Stacey Pacheco and her husband, Victor of Millers Falls, MA, stepchildren, Todd Beaudry of Iowa, Scott Beaudry of Ludlow, Joseph Beaudry of Rusell, Glenn Beaudry of Boston, Troy Beaudry of Texas, Pamela Fowler of South Hadley and Lisa Holloway of Kansas, cherished grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Savanah, and Nicholas and seven great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Marcoulier and stepson, James Beaudry, Jr.

Family and friends are invited gather on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 8:45 a.m. at Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee Street, followed by a procession to the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam for Karen’s committal service.
