June M. Surrette

Springfield – June Marie “June Bug” Surrette, 59, of Springfield, passed away Sunday July 7th at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Fitchburg, MA on October 21, 1964, to Joseph W. Surrette Jr. and the late Edith A. (Bourque) Surrette.
June was affectionately known as June Bug, a name given to her by her father when she was young. June always had a love for animals, especially cats and dogs, her favorite Disney character, Tigger and always found joy being around babies. She also loved the ocean and visiting the Newport Mansions.
Besides her mother, Edith, she was also predeceased by her beloved daughter, Jeannie Marie Morrison in January 2024.
She is survived by her father, Joseph of Springfield; her beloved longtime partner, Michael A. Butler of Springfield; her three children, Michael Morrison and Alicia Morrison of Springfield and Timothy Dion and his wife Whitney of Athol; her sister, Joanne Jones of Alaska; five grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Liam, Amberle and Brigitte as well as dear friends, Paul Eusbo and his wife Lordes of Palmer.
