CHICOPEE- Julie Vautrain,88, beloved wife of Philip Vautrain passed away peacefully at Willimansett Center West on Saturday, November 10, 2012. She was born June 12, 1924 in Holyoke a daughter of the late Hermenegild and Marie (Lemieux) Authier, the sixth of twelve children. Primarily a homemaker, she worked at National Blank Book for several years as a young woman. She resided in Wallingford, CT for 42 years and was an active member at the Church of the Resurrection where she sang in the church choir for many years. Julie moved to Chicopee eleven years ago where she has spent the remainder of her years with her husband of 55 years. Julie was very artistic and enjoyed painting, creating beautiful ceramics and creating lovely gardens wherever she lived. She also leaves behind two daughters, Laura Risher; Pamela Mayberry; three sisters, Annette Sawyer, Louise Fields; Edna St. Jacques; two brothers, Edmund Authier and Paul Authier. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members. All funeral services will be private and are under the care of the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA 01013.
