Springfield – Judith M. “Judie” (Lundstrom) Reuter, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday February 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Judie was born in Worcester, MA on December 28, 1946, a daughter of Olive (Quarn) Lundstrom and was a 1964 graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester. After graduating, Judie attended the Salters Secretarial School and went on to a lifelong career as a secretarial and administrative assistant.
Judie started her career at Korfil products and went on to a lengthy career as a dedicated and compassionate administrator within the funeral industry. Judie started working with the Byron Funeral Home on State St. in Springfield and went on to work with Hafey Funeral Service and most recently Messier and Brunelle Funeral Homes. Her presence at the office will be dearly missed.
Judie was a parishioner of Mary, Mother of Hope Church in Springfield and cherished every moment she spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family was everything to her.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Philip C. Reuter of Springfield; her two loving daughters, Dawn Godek and her husband Steve and Darilyn Roberts; her cherished grandchildren, Kevin Roberts and his wife, Taylor Couture, Sarah Godek, Jenna Roberts, Rachel Godek and Jack Dalton, Mary Godek, Claire Godek, Zach Godek; great-grandson, Jaxon Roy; a great grand-baby on the way; and by her brother, Derek Lundstrom and his wife Susan. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Jeffrey Roberts.
All are invited to meet for Judie’s committal service on Monday February 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. There are no calling hours.
